Sec. 1220.56. Procedure to be followed by driver in event of accident involving his vehicle

The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury or death to any person or damage to any property shall immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of the accident, render such assistance as may be needed, and give his name, address and driver's license, and the registration number of the vehicle to the person injured or to a Port Authority officer or representative. The driver, operator, or owner of such vehicle shall make a report of such accident in accordance with the law of the State of New York.
