PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:

Proposed Action:

The Commission is considering a proposed filing by Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corporation to make various changes in the rates, charges, rules and regulations contained in its Schedule for Electric Service, PSC No. 15—Electricity.

Statutory authority:

Public Service Law, section 66(12)

Subject:

Reactive Power.

Purpose:

To extend the reactive power rate and provisions to customers operating on-site induction generators.

Substance of proposed rule:

The Commission is considering whether to approve, modify or reject, in whole or in part, a proposed filing by Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corporation to extend the reactive power rate and provisions to service classes with customers operating on-site induction generators in compliance with Commission Order issued September 22, 2009 in Case 08-E-0751. The proposed revisions have an effective date of March 1, 2010.
