7/3/13 N.Y. St. Reg. PSC-27-13-00014-P
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Commission is considering a petition by New York State Electric & Gas Corporation requesting permission for temporary waiver of tariff provisions regarding gas cost refunds.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, section 66(12)
Subject:
Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation Cost Refund.
Purpose:
For approval for temporary waiver of tariff provisions regarding its Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation cost refund.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Commission is considering whether to approve, modify or reject, in whole or in part, a petition filed by New York State Electric & Gas Corporation (NYSEG) for a temporary waiver of tariff provisions regarding a gas cost refund by the Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation (Columbia). NYSEG’s tariff schedule, P.S.C. No. 90 – Gas, currently states that supplier refunds are passed back to retail sales customers only, through the Gas Supply Charge. NYSEG proposes that the Columbia refund be returned to non-daily metered (aggregation) gas customers as well as retail sales customers. The Commission may grant, deny or modify the petition or take other action related to it, and may apply its decision here to other utilities.
